History

The name «DE BLEKER» owes its origin to the rich past of the city and the family of the B&B.

Before the industrial revolution, and at a time when there were no or few chemicals, the washed linen was "put out to dry" on the grass . This ensured that, by releasing the oxygen from the grass, the laundry was bleached!

A long shovel was used to spread the linen from the water onto the field. Hence the logo of your residence. This is how we owe the driveway (formerly a small river or canal) and the large garden (lawn).
